80’s Washroom Remodel

This bathroom had a dated jacuzzi tub that many owners have come to realize are not too practical for a few reasons. The tub was replaced with a more contemporary deep soaker tub with freestanding filler. The small acrylic shower was moved and updated with a large walk-in shower.

Custom glass always makes it sparkle. The shower has a luxurious rain-head along with a shower wand for higher pressure and easy cleaning.

Brendon is a master tile setter and could not have done a more precise job in laying this beautiful tile. We chose a brick pattern for the floor and a straight pattern for the shower walls to change it up just a little.

In this job, the client chose Casey's Kitchen to design custom cabinetry and quartz. The finished product is nothing short of spectacular.

Small Washroom

We were very limited with space due to the architecture/structure of the layout. We also did not want to compromise the floor below so we tried to work with what we had. We did manage to squeeze out some more space from an adjoining bedroom which made all the difference for the shower area.

We chose a vinyl floor which looks fantastic since we were dealing with uneven floors that would have been very tricky to tile.

Union

This project started with addressing existing plumbing issues such as proper draining and venting.  Many homeowners live with little frustrations like toilets not flushing well or water pressure.  We do our best to address those issues before the new remodeling starts.  This project required a few days of cleaning up the existing plumbing to ensure long lasting satisfaction and functionality. 

The design request was a large walk-in shower and master walk-in closet.  The client had some great ideas and pictures to give us direction.  This is always helpful to the process of delivering the desired end product.  The pictures below show the empty space that we started to work with and the nearly finished product.  The glass shower enclosure and decor were the finishing touches yet to come but the "bones" of the space were definitely already pleasing.

St. Thomas

This beautiful home needed an update to the master ensuite.  As many can attest, corner tubs have a few drawbacks that many never considered until using them: they drain the hot water tank, jets are hard to keep clean, and due to the floating/drifting the bath experience is just not as enjoyable as expected.  The current trend of free standing soaker tubs is spurred by their beauty and practicality.  This space definitely allowed for the design of a free standing unit.  The existing shower was a acrylic surround unit that felt small and confining. 

What the owners wished for was an open concept with more room, a walk-in shower and a free standing tub.  The existing vanity was absolutely practical and salvageable with a new stone top the fixture was instantly upgraded.  Beautiful materials and the attention to detail in the design and installation made this space a real gem.

Courthouse Neighbourhood

This washroom was a spectacular space that had been remodeled in 1999.  The client had a vision to update it and make it a peaceful retreat.  With beautiful, soft, elegant style this space became just that!  A small smart TV was a unique addition for a long soak.

Courthouse III

Many home owners need a simple renovation to accommodate current needs but also want to keep "re-sale" value in mind.  The space already had some great features like lighting and size.   The existing vanity was a custom size and fortunately it was still in really good shape.   A beautiful new stone top with under-mount sinks would give it a perfect lift.  The tub and shower were the areas of concern.  Simple things like superior grout that prevents mold build up and staining and making sure the tub is absolutely level so that the water doesn't pool are integral to a quality job.
